E-mail forwarded BT Yahoo not delivered

I have a BT Yahoo e-mail account and often want to forward something
from Gmail but they never arrive; I eventually receive a message
saying it was not delivered. I also have a Hotmail account and can
forward messages from there to BT Yahoo without any difficulty.
I am not "technical" at all and would really value some advice on how
I might resolve this problem.

The eventual "not delivered" message contains clues as to why it was never received. If you posted the contents of one such messages here, there are enough technical people that someone could help you "decode" the message for the problem.--
