I'm one of those 'seniors', and I couldn't agree more! I've happily used
gmail for two years and still have been unable to use cut/copy/paste in a
way reasonably similar to AOL. I've read the 'cut and paste; daily user
group page for a year and have learned nothing to help this techniclally
challenged senior physician get out of kindergarden.
I love gmail, but we latecomers need help in accessing more of gmail's
capability.
Hope your idea bears fruit.

Now I'm intrigued: Richard, do the standard Windoze set of
CtrlX, CtrlC and CtrlV not work for you then?
As a septuagenarian user myself I've used these in every type
of Windoze program, although I've never belonged to AOL, so I'm
thoroughly intrigued as to what they use instead!!
