Adding clickable URL's to Gmail auto signature

When using 'vacation responder' auto-reply function, is it possible to
create a 'clickable link' to a user-defined URL in the text of the
automatic reply?
Likewise, can one also make a 'clickable link' in the standard
signature???
- Brief googling came up empty-handed; but I feel sure it MUST be
possible somehow…
Any advice welcome!
