OK, I threw up a quick page to list the version info for everyone's GMail Macros script... It's pretty plain right now, so everyone can contribute to it and improve it... I'm open for all suggestions.

Click on http://groups-beta.google.com/group/gmail-power-users/web/gmail-macro-version-info -
or copy & paste it into your browser's address bar if that doesn't work.

I'm still confused! Is there a definitive GMail Macros script?! What
are the pros and cons of all the different versions? Could all the best
features of all of them be merged into a definitive script?

By the way, for people who use the GTDGmail add-on, GMail Macros does
not goto or apply any of the GTD labels that are prefixed with S:, C:,
P: and R: A revised script was posted here -->
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/6362 and it would be great to
incorporate this functionality in the definitive GMail Macros script.

Thanks to everyone who has worked on the script! It's excellent!

Peace

Pete

I would say to start with Mihai's original GMail macro script and then determine what you do/don't like about it. Usually it is just a keystoke or two that need personal tweaking. Try out the other versions that are stored at this group's webpage to see if they are closer to what you want. Once you find the one that is closest, people on this list can probably help you tweak it just right.

So, while there isn't a definitive version (although I would say that Mihai's version is the definitive version, with all others as tweaks to the original) there are plenty of options so you can fine tune your GMail usage just the way you like it.

Personally, Mihai's latest version has added in all of the stuff that I had pulled from various versions of the script, so I am just using his right now. I'm still getting used to some of the new key strokes (and may need to modify a couple of those).

Changed script back to original form (without saved search) and merged
in Mihai's latest changes + functionality to add new labels on the fly.
Additionally changed the '?' help macro to 'h'.

How do I add or delete a key from gmail marcors.
Like to change some key because the doesn't function well in gmail
whit the origenaal key.
And love to have label it, achrive, and read under one key, and
ofcourse just archive and read under one key.
Hope you can all help me.

And hopefully whit a little explaination of the script. So that I
couldt do more changes when I feel free to it.

Thanks a lot and the script only going to be used by me. If there is a
protection of it. And if I may plublish it I will.

Thanks again.
