  I don&#39;t suppose someone could help me tweak my GmailThis! Bookmarklet &lt;br&gt; to send to a Gmail alias instead of my regular email, could you? I am &lt;br&gt; having problems getting it to work with the addition of the plus &lt;br&gt; symbol.   Interesting. I just tried it myself, even using cut-and-paste to get &lt;br&gt; the subject exactly right, three times and got three new threads! &lt;br&gt; (Also tried it with a &amp;quot;Re:&amp;quot; prefix to see if it made any difference.) &lt;br&gt; So apparently, Google is using more information than just the subject, &lt;br&gt; to decide how to group messages into threads.

  Thanks Chris &amp;amp; Andrew. So I tried both fwd with (fwd:subject) &amp;amp; w/out &lt;br&gt; (subject) and neither seem to create merged singular thread. Does the &lt;br&gt; suggested work-around still produce two threads but produce similar &lt;br&gt; subject lines? Is that the workaround or is there something I&#39;m &lt;br&gt; missing in my effort to merge? Thanks, JB

  There is no easy way ... Google doesn&#39;t give that to us as a control, either &lt;br&gt; to break threads apart, or to merge them together.
