Are you using Thunderbird? I encountered this problem while trying to
do what you're describing with Tbird. I installed Evolution (a
different mail client) and was able to successfully move all the
messages with that. Due to this, I am guessing that it is a problem
with Tbird instead of Gmail, and have opened a bug at
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=465670>. If you have any
additional information you can share with that report, it would
certainly be helpful. Particularly, I am not sure if something triggered
this error to start occurring in the first place.
