Why Can't I Attach a File to a GMail Message Anymore?

And does anyone know if it will return soon?

The ability to attach a file seems to have disappeared over the
weekend. I waited until today in case it was a glitch but I have mail
I need to send with attachements soon.

I really, REALLY do not want to configure an e-mail client on my
desktop.

    I attached files to a couple of Gmails times over the weekend and yesterday. The process has continued to work with no problem. It sounds to me like the problem isn't with Gmail, but with your computer - have you tried clearing the cache and deleting all cookies,  in case one or more of them have become corrupt?

I noticed over the weekend that when I "compose mail" from the new iGoogle, I get no button for attaching files. If I "open full gmail" I get it back.

Yes, I just tried enter www.gmail.com and all functionality is present - this seems to only occur when entering gmail from iGoogle portal.  I'll fill out the iGoogle survey and complain there.

You'll also notice that there is no option to save a draft if you enter gmail through iGoogle.
