i have a hosting account that doesn't allow email forwarding to
comcast.net addresses. To bypass this, i set up a forwarding account
to a GMail account, that then in turn forwards to the appropriate
comcast.net address according to a filter on the "To" field. i'd like
to handle all these forwards with one account, by setting up multiple
filters, but it seems to me that if an email was sent to two of these
accounts, one filter would apply (and pass along the email) but the
second rule wouldn't. Is there a way to get around that?

Next, how could i set up all these emails to be deleted once properly
forwarded to any number of email addresses?

I do the same thing you are trying to do and it seems to work well.
try this:

You will need two filters. In the to: field of the first filter put
the addresses in like this:
addr...@domain.com -addr...@domain.com
This should select messages sent to address1 but not address2

in the second filter put
addr...@domain.com -addr...@domain.com
This should select messages that were sent to address2 but not
address1.

I would recommend not deleting the messages automatically until you
are sure the filter works the way you want. However, on the second
page of the filter setup you can choose to have the message deleted.
If you perform other actions on it (such as forwarding) as well, it
will process the delete after the other actions. the messages should
forward out to your other addresses before being dumped.

Hope this helps.
