I have the same thing happen every now and then - I want to know, what
is the mail file and where is it saved to?

Work-around:  When logging in, hold down the CTRL key.

Subject: Re: IE wants to Download a File when try to login to Gmail
That workaround doesn't work for me - rather than blocking the
download, IE just downloads the file. But it still doesn't open. This
is actually pretty serious - I need some information in my address
book, and obviously can't get at it now. Any other suggestions? I've
cleared the cache, rebooted, everything. The odd part is that I can log
into my wife's Gmail account without any problems. Mine ties to
download this bloody file, every time.

Anyone have any other ideas?
