there is no incentive for me to stay in this group, given that the
owners of the group won't take the time to police the group; I've sent
an email to the owners, but it doesn't seem to matter.

good luck, everyone; with the attitude regarding "support" we'll all
need it

Thank you for your efforts.

Before you go, can you please give the rest of us the details of your
seemingly automated system for reporting these spamalots?

keybounce, you're welcome ;)

it's not actually automated.....
I use FireFox, and it very kindly remembers what I've typed in for
Subjects of posts, based on the 1st letter I enter when I change the
spammer's original Subject line; usually I just pick the one that
suggests doing that spay/neuter procedure (at the end is the 'flippin
spammer reported' part which I cut and paste into the body).  If there
are multiple (IF!?  did I say IF?!) spam posts that need to be
reported/responded to, I can choose the exact 'help stop spam-- spay/
neuter spammers' for the subject, since I already have the text for
the body saved.

I wish it was automated; I wish the group owners would *do* something
to help us.  Sadly, I think getting assistance from the group owners
is as likely as me hitting the lottery.
