Subject: Pictures/images in chats
My friends and I like to send funny pictures (gifs, jpgs, etc) in
chats and its really annoying to send a link (that is sometimes
annoyingly long) or receive a link and have it open a new tab, then
having to go back o the original tab and laugh about it. Can we have a
lab in which we can see images within the chat boxes?
P.S sorry if this is not understandable =)

i really don't think google or gmail is going to go and get a
secondary server just for ppl to send images in a chat, it cost money
for that and think they are doing a great job with what they have done
so far, i have email to send ppl images while i am in chat i do that

I haven't really thought of using my email to send images while I'm
chatting. It seems troublesome but I'll give it a try, thanks.

in your labs they have an insert image lab just for email, scroll down
your available labs for insert image and enable; then click the image
icon(looks like a small picture) and browse what images you want to
insert, you can upload a lot and then just click them and click OK and
they automatically show in your email

Being able to drop pictures into chats is a very very good idea. I have
been wanting this feature for a long time. Other chat applications have had
this enabled for years, and like Dallon says, it is incredibly annoying to
have to go through the process of creating + sending an email to do this
simple task. Dragging and dropping images into a chat window would be SUCH
a great improvement.

If you have the images elsewhere (for example, Photobucket) you could
always share them with the link to the image...  just a thought.

I also really want this feature. And not just for pictures. Small files
also; docs, txt files, zip etc. And no, sending a link or an email with the
file is not as convenient.
