Splitting the mailbox to Preview the message on single click on subject line

I would love to see the mailbox as outlook client.
Where we have the Mailbox divided into (horizontally or vertically)
panes.
One for Listing the mail items and another for preview the mail.
Single Click on the subject line shows mail content in another pane.
Double click shows the mail as usual (how it works now).
Where we have the Mailbox divided into (horizontally or vertically)

I vote for horizontally (16:9 screen). I would be great!
