I think Google Labs should add a "Send Later" option which would allow
a user to specify the exact time and date to send out a draft.
Sometimes I write emails that I don't want to send right away and I
forget to send them a few hours later.

This would also be nice for, those days where you remember a persons
birthday 3 days early and then forget the day of their birthday. Could
just draft the email three days early and send it out. I know thats -
impersonal. But hey, I rather that, then have the sensitive drama "You
forgot my birthday!!" .... No really, I didnt. I just remembered
early.

Yep, I just ran into a need for this feature. Thought I'd add a me too to the original request.

My case was wanting to schedule a reminder for a client about an upcoming domain expiry. Guess I'll make a calendar reminder for myself instead.

This baby is sitting here since 2008!!
That's SIX yrs ago!

Well, as I said earlier, there must be at least 1,000 request for that function in the last 6 yrs!
I'm sure each request has been 'seconded' by at least 5 people each...a total of 5,000 requests...and Google plays dumb!
But, if you Google "delayed sending" - you are sent to the RightInbox app...

The same goes for "Multiple Signatures", "Inbox Sorting by Sender, Subject, etc", "Receipt for opened/read e-mailsand so on!
Thousands of Request...All ignored - so far!

Welcome to the strange World of Google :-)

+1 Send Later Lab
+1 Goofy's remarks

For the moment you can add extensions like Boomerang for Gmail to your browsers. That's what I use, although there exist more extensions, but I don't know if they are as good as Boomerang.

Thank You, Paloma!
It is EIGHT yrs old now...and people still hope!
Like Alexander Pope said a long time ago: "Hope Springs Eternal"
(copy/paste from an old posting)

Since some people cannot read other people's responses...I'll try once more:

Requested by thousands of Gmail users, since 2008...Ignored by Google :-(

Maybe you can try Boomerang or RightInbox...they both claim they can do it!

For a fee, if you do it too often!

Or try MailTracker which is part of Gmail...

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mailtrack-for-gmail/ndnaehgpjlnokgebbaldlmgkapkpjkkb?hl=en

Or just do a Google Search...you'll be surprised of all the solutions out there!

BTW:

In case you think someone from Google monitors this forum or this ia popularity contest, take a look at:

So, keep on asking/+1/begging/pleading/cajoling/threatening, you never know...BUT, don't hold your breath :-)
