It would be great to create a quick To Do list that can be activated
from an icon in Gmail.
So when you get an e-mail that has an action that needs to get done,
you can quickly add the action (ToDo) from within Gmail. Ideally it
also has a date prompt that then ties it to Calendar. If due dates
were tied to an e-mail message that gets sent to you as reminder then
even better :)

But quick easy access within e-mail would be great.

Then you would not have to reread a whole conversation to see what the
task was that the e-mail generated. Or even link the ToDo back the
the conversation.

This is a great idea! To-Do lists are a great part of most calendar
programs that Google Calendar is missing. It would be really nice to
have a to do list that links to each day in the calendar!

Please make a to do list that integrates with gmail and Documents.
Even better if it were an iPhone app that kept in sync, and allowed my
wife t add items to the grocery list after I've left the house.

Also, not a new suggestion, apparently, but one I believe would be a
huge boon to day-to-day usability.

Try 'Remember the Milk', has all the things you're looking for, and if
you use the 'Remember the Milk for Gmail' Firefox extension then
you'll get a to-do list that's VERY powerful in the side pane of your
inbox and other views within Gmail.

Remember the milk is really nice, but I do not want a third party in
charge of my to-do list. It would be great if the Labs team adds
something similar as part of the overall gmail/calendar interface,
without having to register somewhere else.

This would be really great. And even better if it provided an
integration with Calendar. D.
