Would be nice to have this key stroke available, since it's used in
several other mail clients (Thunderbird, OWA).

Great idea, but you can find that this feature was suggested in
(Custom keyboard shortcuts) section ---> (CTRL+ENTER to send)

I would second and third this. The one thing I really miss about
Outlook is the ability to hit ctrl enter..
