Let us move Custom Gadgets (Google Calendar and Docs, and other custom
ones) to the right hand side of Gmail - like you can with hte labels
and chat gadgets already! it will save space. Also, please give us
Google Reader inside of Gmail. Thanks!

Now that they've removed right-side labels, THIS IS EVEN MORE
IMPORTANT!!! I can't see my calendar, RTM, or other gadgets because
they're all forced down below labels.

Another vote for this. I don't really understand why the option
doesn't exist already. Obviously it is possible. This would also
resolve fallout from removing right side labels.

Could a third party do this? From my brief look at the gadget API it
looks like you wouldn't have access to this...

Thanks,

Did you guys get any answer regarding this topic? Is it possible to
drag and drop on the right hand side of gmail also the other gadgets?

Please tell me, I am also really interested in this matter!

Another vote in support of moving gadgets over to the right hand side.
Would be a lot better use of screen space for me.

I'd like to add my agreement with this suggestion.

Calendar on the right side (ala Outlook 2007) would really rock for
our business users migrating from said product.

I agree as well. Need to be able to balance they way you want to see
it on the screen. I moved my chat to the right and I love it over
there. I would like the Calendar over there as well.

This would be really awesome. Please implement this!

Having right-side gadgets would make gmail about 2 times as convenient.

Yes please! Option to move chat and individual Gadgets to right-side, and also to re-size left-side (labels) column.

I concur.  I would love to be able to place this on the right side right under chats and have the left side free for labels.

+1 for this. Please allow the option of moving gadgets to the right
side, like chat for those of us with way too many labels lol

Totally! Left side is too condensed and the idea of having gadgets is to see them, not to compress or hide them.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO ALL!!!
We needed that +1, Robb DeGreef

iMac430 put that up, way back in 2008, or EIGHT years ago...
Is he still waiting??? We'll never know :-)
(copy/paste from a very old posting)
Has been requested by hundreds of Gmail users since 2008! Ignored by Google:-(
In case you think someone from Google monitors this forum or this is a popularity contest, take a look at:

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail-labs-suggest-a-labs-feature/Wz55gyU03h4

So, keep on asking/+1/begging/pleading/cajoling/threatening, you never know...BUT, don't hope for a miracle :-)
