I get emails from the local transit authority telling me about delays
and operational issues on the subway and surface routes.
When these messages arrive, I have a filter which automatically adds a
label and removes them from the inbox (archives them).
While there may be anthropological reasons to keep a permanent record
of this, I haven't identified this myself. I'd like to be able to
configure a special tool to delete all messages with a certain label
after the message is X hours old. Ideally setting different timeouts/
expiries with different labels. (I also get emails about what's
currently playing at local cinemas. I'd like to expire these after a
week/10 days.) A further improvement would have an "Except when"
capability (e.g. except if they are also labeled "Do Not Expire".)
I imagine that others would like this too.
