Add a contact text box in side bar

Hello,
I would really love to be able to add contacts and manage groups
easier. I feel that a text box in the side bar where I could just
type or paste an email address in and then select any groups that I
want that contact in would be super useful. If it filled in my
contact information with anything people have made public on their
profile I would love it!
