Hey everyone,
Just wanted to clear up some of the confusion about how to send SMS
messages to your contacts’ mobile phones using Gmail Chat.
1. Enter your contact’s name in the ‘Search or invite friends’ box in
Chat, and select Send SMS. Or, if you already have a Chat window open
for this contact, just click Options, and select Send SMS.... more »

SMS in Chat lab is back!

Thanks everyone for your patience while we worked on getting the issue
with the 'SMS in Chat' lab back in action. It should be back in your
'Labs' tab again and you can resume your SMS through Gmail chat
activities.
Please continue to keep in mind that Labs like SMS in Chat may break
or disappear at any time or they may work so well that they graduate... more »

I'm having the following problem. All workarounds I tried from the
help forums failed.
I texted my wife several times several months ago, until I hit the
quota. She didn't respond for awhile. At some point, my phone number
got cycled. Now I can't text her from my gmail account (since I'm

I have text someone and did not have a response after i passed the
limit they noticed it was me now i cant text them from my gmail can

I love this feature thank you! I am a software developer as well,
mainly Web Apps I want to tell you all how amazing the Google Labs
apps you guys build are. You took AJAX to a whole new level and showed
