Maybe better here:

Is there any chance users can ever get via the error code more closer
to the problem?

The help centers tend to be so basic that this is a recurring problem.

There is a message that has a clear meaning to the technician, but the
user is not supposed to know? These are usually time consuming
matters. Are the code numbers really used at random when the problem
occurs, thus they don't give any hint concerning the location of the
problem. Or could the system behind the codes at least be made public.

Something like: Error 1-100 software connectivity ...

I am getting the same error whenever I try to send e-mail.  Did you
ever find the cause of the problem?  Was it ever resolved.

The same thing is happening to me.   It just started last night.   I
kept trying to send the email and getting the (#103) error.  Later I
looked in my Sent folder and there were like 6 copies of it, so I'm
assuming, but it hasn't been confirmed, that the addressee received
the email numerous times.   So, if you think your email isn't being
sent, check to be sure.

worth.
