Oh cool I just noticed something else. The interface has changed, currently all of my ads have disappeared but that doesn't bother me. ;) Also note the location of New window, Expand All, and Print, they have been rearranged for those of us who had the ads along the side.

No webclips?
Try this : sit down, wait 'til the earth has rotated once or twice,
then look into your account again.
In other words, when new features are rolling out, they keep on
rolling. Why not hold your horses, and show some patience?

As read in all of the blogs before this came out it is rotating ads and feeds. Also it seems to be updating as I am typing.

Scott, I'm sorry I'm not sure what OPML is and I haven't found anything that seem related within what I have browsed so far.

Gmail Clips shows you news headlines, Gmail tips, blogs, any RSS and Atom feed, relevant sponsored links, and more -- right at the top of your inbox and messages. Receive updates from your favorite sites without having to leave Gmail!

Sorry I wasn't clear... In the Web Clip's bar is the only location that Sponsored Link's are now shown. Sponsored Link's are alternated although very rear to be seen thus making them more tempting to click if relevant to what you like.

Nook, something I just ran across...

http://www.webpronews.com/news/ebusinessnews/wpn-45-20050423GmailEnablesClipsforSome.html
Gmail maintains however that the Clips are purely a limited test for now. A small number of randomly selected users are testing the feature, but it may become more widely available in the future. As of right now, I am not one of the chosen ones. However, here's how you can see if you are Gmail Clip-worthy:

Oh and so far it seems two of my seven account's I maintain have web clips. One being my primary account, which I am thankful for, and the other my dad's which he is POP only for the time being. Once the service is out of beta and I have him fully off the bellsouth account I have forwarding to his gmail, I will force him to use the web interface.

It seems to be a brilliant move by GMAIL in terms of AD's.

Since the clips keep on rotating between what you set and AD's by
google, a gmail user might just be enticed to click something that
he/she has not set in the first place.

I think that the rollout has something to do with the amount of mail
that you recieve as well as the number of times you click on the
Sponsored Links. For example, only one of my four accounts has the Web
Clips, the others rarely get mail, so I don't check them and don't
click on ads. Just a thought...

Yeah, and so are the guessing games it gives rise to... :)

I don't practice Santeria

But I had my fifty invites, and I--

Yep . . . benchmarking is definitely a factor -- slowly roll it out
increasing the number of people to potentially create bugs, catch a
problem before it gets too big. Gmail using JavaScript to do
everything and, therefor, operating on the client side, makes it a
system far more sensitive to the particulars of the user's system than
a server side scripted interface.

Plus, it keeps us all drooling in anticipation. They have quite a
hold on us. The sinister, evil, all powerful google.

I rarely click on ads, but I got clips a couple days ago. They're
customizable, and you can add your own feeds.

I think that offering incentives for clicking on ads goes against
Google's own policies, and so I really don't think they would do that.
