/user/removeCheckin

Is it expected that every addCheckin will eventually get a
removeCheckin? So far I have been doing addCheckins, and i see the
message that I am currently checked in, but when does this go away? Do
i need to track the original checkin time and then at some point do a
removeCheckin? Or is this method for removing the checkin completely?

Check-ins erpressend a timeline of what media a user is consuming, there is no "checking-out" of an item. RemoveCheckin is intended for when a user accidentally checks in and they wish to remove the check-in from their history.
