* ACC: The company's cement despatches in August fell 6.9% from a year ago to1.75 mln tn.

* AVANCE TECHNOLOGIES: Board has approved consolidation of 10 shares into one.

* CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA: Plans capital infusion of around 25 bln rupees either through innovative perpetual debt instruments or qualified institutional placement in Oct-Dec.

* COAL INDIA: Higher coal prices and demand will add an additional 350 bln rupees to the company's reserves, which is poised to cross the 1-trln-rupee mark in three years. Will soon write to its shareholders seeking approval for pooling the price of imported coal with the domestic product.

* DECCAN CHRONICLE HOLDINGS: Bombay high court has ordered the company not to sell or lease its Mumbai property in a petition filed by Tata Capital, which has lent 1 bln rupees to the media firm.

* FEDERAL BANK: Given its high capital adequacy ratio of over 15%, the bank has no major capital requirement in the next 3-5 years to meet Basel III norms.The bank's arm Fedbank Financial Services will not be affected by the recent tightening in norms for gold loans and gold finance companies.

* GAIL (INDIA): The Comptroller and Auditor General of India has flayed the company for supplying natural gas to private power companies at subsidised rates, which led to them reaping undue benefits worth 2.46 bln rupees.

* GMR INFRASTRUCTURE: Promoter Rajam Enterprises Pvt bought 1.7 mln shares of the company for 31.52 mln rupees on Aug 28.

* HINDALCO INDUSTRIES: BSE will replace the company in the BSE TASIS Sariah 50 Index with TATA STEEL from Monday.

* INFOSYS: Is open to acquiring companies that are bigger than 10% of its own revenue, according to Chief Financial Officer V. Balakrishnan.

* ITC: The company's hotels arm is keen to bid for the property that houses the Taj Mahal hotel on Mansingh Road in New Delhi , if it is auctioned.

* KINGFISHER AIRLINES: Its auditor has said the airline's actual losses after tax in the year ended March should have been 34.44 bln rupees, instead of the 23.28 bln rupees reported. The airline paid its Chief Executive Officer Sanjay Aggarwal 40.1 mln rupees as salary in 2011-12 (Apr-Mar), up from 21.2 mln rupees a year ago, even as the airline is unable to pay salaries to its employees for months. Chairman Vijay Mallya has said the airline would focus on the premium segment of fliers going forward.

* MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA : Will increase dependence on industrial robots at its proposed factory in Gujarat 's Mehsana district.

* MAXHEIGHTS INFRASTRUCTURE: Board has approved listing of the company's shares on National Stock Exchange.

* NTPC: Will go ahead with its 1,600 MW Katwa power project in West Bengal , but will not purchase land for the project directly.

* PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK: The bank's credit growth in 2012-13 (Apr-Mar) is likely to be 16%, lower than the target of 17% set by the RBI.

* RELIANCE INFRASTRUCTURE: A portion of a bridge of the elevated track of the company's Mumbai metro rail project collapsed Tuesday, killing one and injuring 12 persons. HINDUSTAN CONSTRUCTION CO is the subcontractor for the project.

* RELIANCE POWER: Plans to invest 250 bln rupees to build three hydropower units by 2020.

* SATYAM COMPUTER SERVICES: Firms owned by Ramalinga Raju's family and IL&FS are opposing the company's merger with TECH MAHINDRA.

* TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES: Has re-appointed S. Mahalingam as executive director and chief financial officer for the period Sep 6, 2012 to Feb 9, 2013.

* TECH MAHINDRA: The company funded the acquisition of Hutchison Global Services Pvt Ltd through a combination of internal accruals and debt.

* UNITED SPIRITS: Declined comment on a media report that the company is close to selling 49% stake in wholly-owned arm Whyte & Mackay.
