MARKETS
Asian Market is trading lower as Hang Seng was down by 0.95% while Nikkei 225 were down by 0.53% and Chinese markets were down by 1.58%. Asian stocks fell, trimming a third weekly advance, after reports signaled a slowing U.S. economic recovery and Moody’s Investors Service cut ratings on 15 of the world’s biggest banks. Oil traded near a nine-month low. Overnight U.S. markets were down by 1.96%. Nifty at 8:00AM was trading at 5124 with a loss of 52 points.

EQUITY MOVERS:
* Bharat Petroleum Corp.: India’s second-largest state refiner bought 1 million barrels each of Nigerian Qua Iboe and Agbami crude via
a tender for loading in August from Royal Dutch Shell Plc.
* Cement Makers: Competition Commission of India found that cement manufacturers violated anticompetitive agreements including
cartels, the ministry of corporate affairs said on its website. Ultratech Cement Ltd. said in a statement that it would take action after
studying the order, while India Cements Ltd. would seek legal recourse against the order, it said in a separate statement.
* Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd.: JPMorgan sold 1.3 million shares of the company at an average price of 630.01 rupees.
* Tata Motors Ltd.: India’s biggest automaker is looking to hire a replacement for Prakash M. Telang, who retired as its managing director
Yesterday.

* The country received 73.7 millimeters of rainfall in the June 1 to June 21 period, the India Meteorological Department said on its website.
That’s less than the 96.9 millimeters average considered normal for the period.

MARKETS
Asian Market is trading lower as Hang Seng was marginal up by 0.02% while Nikkei 225 were down by 0.50% and Chinese markets were down by 0.56%. Asian stocks fell for a fourth day as German Chancellor Angela Merkel hardened her resistance to euro-area debt sharing before European leaders meet this week. Copper rallied as U.S. new-home sales reached a two-year high. Overnight U.S. markets were down by 1.09%. Nifty at 8:00AM was trading at 5108 with a gain of 05 points.

EQUITY MOVERS:
* C & C Constructions Ltd.: The developer received an order from Ircon International Ltd., it said in a statement to the stock exchange.
The cost of the project is 1.5 billion rupees.
* GV Films Ltd.: The production company said its lenders agreed to extend the repayment schedule of its foreign currency convertible
bonds and accept payments in parts, according to statement to the stock exchange. The company will repay the loan in 24 months, it said.
* Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd.: The nation’s largest copper producer, will explore the possibility of extracting iron from copper slag,
according to a filing dated June 22 to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
OTHER NEWS:
* Mukherjee, who will resign today before running for president, raised the foreign investment cap on government bonds by $5billion to
$20 billion. Global investors bid for 81 billion rupees ($1.4 billion) of quotas to buy notes of infrastructure companies at a sale last week,
18 percent less than targeted. International funds have only bought $30.2 billion of the government’s previous $60 billion limit on holdings
of corporate and sovereign notes.
* Ashok Leyland Ltd., India’s second-biggest truckmaker, is adding small goods carriers and expanding overseas to claw back market share
lost to Eicher Motors Ltd. and Tata Motors Ltd.
* India plans to sell 150 billion rupees of bonds on June 29, the Reserve Bank of India said in an e-mailed statement.

global commerce rules. India has prohibited imports of various U.S. farm products since at least February 2007, saying the ban is needed to
