MARKETS
Asian Market is trading lower as Hang Seng was down by 0.50% while Nikkei 225 was up by 0.30%, while Chinese markets were down by 0.15%. Asian stocks entered a bull market yesterday after central-bank easing from the U.S. and Europe to China and Japan fueled the fastest rally in more than two years. Overnight US markets were down by 0.40%. SGX Nifty at 8:00AM was trading at 5414 with a loss of 20 points and it is likely to trade between 5380 and 5480 levels.

ECONOMY:
* 10:30 a.m. India HSBC-Markit Manufacturing PMI for February.
* 11:00 a.m. India to detail merchandize exports and imports for January, year-on-year.
EQUITY MOVERS:
* Indian Oil Corp. The nation’s largest refiner increased the price of jet fuel in Mumbai to 65,636.74 rupees a kiloliter starting Mar. 1,
from 63,499 rupees a kiloliter as of Feb. 16.
* Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. The drugmaker signed a seven-year dollar-denominated loan for $96.5 million.
* Reliance Communications Ltd. A stake sale in the mobile-phone operator’s tower unit has been delayed until at least June. The sale
was originally to happen in February or March.
* Bajaj Auto Ltd. The maker of two-wheelers recalled some motorcycles with faulty starter motors, the Press Trust of India reported.
OTHER NEWS:
* State-run IDBI Bank plans to offer bonds worth $150 million, split between the greenback and the Swiss franc this month. Rural Electrification
Corp., a New Delhi-based lender to power projects, is looking to raise about $200 million. Companies borrowed $2.2billion from the
global markets last month, 22 percent more than in February last year, as emerging-market debt funds reported record inflows.
* India plans to raise $2.5 billion by offering a stake in Oil & Natural Gas Corp. in the first auction of a state-run company’s shares
as the government seeks to narrow a budget deficit that’s already exceeded its target.
* India’s fiscal deficit exceeded the full-year target in the 10 months through January, adding pressure for steps to restrain the gap
in March’s budget. The deficit was 4.35 trillion rupees($88.7 billion) in the period, the Controller General of Accounts exceeding the goal
of 4.13trillion rupees in the year through March.
* Cooking-oil imports by India, the biggest palm oil buyer, will climb as much as 12 percent to a record after dry weather and excessive
rain curbed oilseed crops.
* Foreign funds may increase their holdings of Indian equities as the nation’s central bank joins policy makers globally in easing
monetary policy to support economic growth.
