* Bayer Crop Science: Is buying at eight-storey office building in Thane from the Hiranadani Group to house its India headquarters and other offices.

* DECCAN CHRONICLE: Has rejected the sole bid received for buying Deccan Chargers cricket team, saying the bidder's payment terms were unacceptable.

* GRASIM INDUSTRIES: Has inked a pact with Japan's Omikenshi Co to develop new viscose staple fibre, or rayon, products and foray into new markets.

* RANBAXY LABORATORIES: Company's arm, Ranbaxy Malaysia Sdn Bhd, has received approval from the government there to set up a greenfield facility.

* STRIDES ARCOLAB: Company's arm has received US FDA's approval for its facility in Poland that makes injectables.
