MARKETS

Asian Market is trading higher as Hang Seng was up by 0.51% while Nikkei 225 was up by 1.33% and Chinese markets down

by 0.28%. Asian stocks, oil and the Australian dollar advanced after U.S. President Barack Obama expressed confidence that he

and Congress would reach a budget agreement. The yen weakened. Overnight U.S. markets were up by 0.37%. SGX

 Nifty at 8:00AM was trading at 5589  with a gain of 16.00 points.

MARKETS

Asian Market is trading higher as Hang Seng was up by 0.77% while Nikkei 225 was up by 0.10% and Chinese markets down by 0.10%.

Asian stocks rose for a third day after U.S. housing data boosted optimism that the world’s largest economy is recovering.

The euro weakened after France lost its top credit rating with Moody’s Investors Service. Overnight U.S. markets were up by 1.65%. SGX

 Nifty at 8:00AM was trading at 5609  with a gain of 14.00 points.

MARKETS

Asian Market is trading higher as Hang Seng was up by 0.53% while Nikkei 225 was up by 1.02% and Chinese markets down by 0.06%.

Overnight U.S. markets were down by 0.06%.  Asian stocks rose as an increase in U.S. housing starts added to signs the world’s largest

economy is recovering. The yen weakened to a seven-month low as Japan’s exports fell more than expected, while oil advanced.

SGX  Nifty at 8:00AM was trading at 5596 with a gain of 14.00 points.

     EQUITY MOVERS:

  * Oil & Natural Gas unit ONGC Videsh plans to sell dollar bonds next qtr to fund acquisitions.

OTHER NEWS:

  * Syndicated loan volumes in India slumped to the lowest since  the global financial crisis started as the highest borrowing costs

among Asia’s major economies made companies wary of expansion and banks reluctant to lend.

  * The U.S. is hesitant about India’s proposal for a currency- swap deal because the rupee isn’t fully convertible, Reserve Bank
