MARKETS
Asian Market is trading higher as Hang Seng was up by 0.87% while Nikkei 225 was up by 0.61% and Chinese markets were up by 0.19%. Asian stocks rose, with a regional index paring its first decline in three weeks, as oil and copper advanced. South Korea’s won strengthened. Overnight U.S. markets were up by 0.14percent. SGX Nifty at 8:00AM was trading at 5584 with a gain of 23 points.

EQUITY MOVERS:
* Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd: The unit of India’s largest tractor maker approved the sale of a 12.4 percent stake
in Mahindra Insurance Brokers Ltd. for 643.3 million rupees to Leapfrog Financial Inclusion Fund, Singapore.
OTHER NEWS:
* The Indian company that’s posted losses for three years said Sept. 18 it has asked bondholders for a four-month extension on
redemption of $220.8 million of convertible notes due next month. The yield on its 2016 debt has surged 11 percentage points to
37.2 percent this year, compared with 10 percent for similar-maturity debt in Germany’s Nordex SE.
* India’s inflation as measured by consumer prices paid by farm workers accelerated 9.18 percent in August from 8.61 percent in
July, according to a government statement. Inflation for rural workers was 9.34 percent in August from 8.94 percent in July.
* A panel of ministers will decide on a pharmaceutical pricing policy in eight to 10 days, Farm Minister Sharad Pawar said after a meeting
in New Delhi yesterday.
* Equinix Inc., the operator of data centers for companies such as Amazon.com Inc. and Google Inc., expects to use acquisitions and
