* AGRICULTURE: The Forward Markets Commission is likely to consider lifting its earlier ban on futures trading in guar after a meeting with the advisory committee Wednesday.

* AUTOMOBILE: Ford India is increasing focus on small hatchback cars, and will launch more models in the segment by 2015.

* AVIATION: Oil retailers cut price of aviation turbine fuel by average 2,221.5 rupees per kL in the four metropolitan cities from today.  Mumbai airport plans to penalise airlines that do not use approved slots and cancel flights for commercial reasons.

* BANKING: Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor K.C Chakrabarty has said banks' asset quality is under stress.

* COAL: The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed fresh cases against Karvy Group's Athena Infraprojects and Jaipur-based Kamal Sponge Steel & Power in the coal block scam.

* FINANCIAL SERVICES: Tata Capital's arm Tata Capital Financial has signed an agreement with Japan 's Century Tokyo to offer leasing solutions.

* HOTELS: Accor has sold 60% stake in 15 of its low-cost Formula 1 hotel projects to private equity firm SAMHI Hotels.

* OIL AND GAS: BP Plc is evaluating options for supply of liquefied natural gas to Indian users on a sustainable basis. Petroleum Minister S. Jaipal Reddy has said the government has no plans to raise diesel and cooking gas prices.  Sale of premium petrol and diesel may soon be discontinued following a sharp fall in demand.

* PHARMACEUTICALS: Chemists and druggists have called off their three-day strike that was scheduled to start from today.

* REGULATORY: SEBI may reject draft offer documents filed by companies for raising funds via equity if the main promoter is unidentifiable, object of fund raising is vague or business model of the company is misleading.

* RETAIL: Foreign Investment Promotion Board will Friday discuss investment proposals of three foreign single-brand retailers that want to set stores in India .

* TELECOM: The Telecom Commission will hold a meeting Wednesday to discuss spectrum refarming.
