* 3i INFOTECH: Has allotted 1.51 mln shares of the company to Elara Capital on conversion of foreign currency convertible bonds.

* APOLLO HOSPITALS: Says it is in no hurry to capitalise on opening up of the foreign direct investment in retail and insurance.

* BHARTI AIRTEL: The Supreme Court has refused to grant an interim stay on a tribunal order allowing the company to claim termination charges for short messaging services from Tata Teleservices and Aircel.

* COAL INDIA: Achieved 96% of its production target, 97% of sales aim for the first six months of 2012-13 (Apr-Mar). It missed its aim marginally as heavy rains in August and September disrupted mining operations.

* RALLIS INDIA: The company's Jul-Sep net profit rose 5.2% from a year ago to 615.6 mln rupees. Net sales increased 11% to 4.8 bln rupees.

* RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS: Gets favourable ruling from TDSAT, which directed BSNL and MAHANAGAR TELEPHONE NIGAM to refund the fines levied on the company for its home country direct services.

* RELIANCE INDUSTRIES: Oil ministry has held back on approving development plans submitted by the company to reverse the fall in gas production from KG-D6 block until the Comptroller and Auditor General is allowed to audit costs incurred in the block. Government decides in principle to let the company raise the price of gas from the Krishna Godavari basin.

* STERLING BIOTECH: Foreign currency convertible bondholders file liquidation petition after the company defaulted on repayment of FCCBs worth 10 bln rupees.

* TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES: On Oct 12, lenders released 20.1 mln encumbered shares of the company pledged by Tata Sons.

* TATA STEEL: To invest around 130 bln rupees in Europe operations till 2015-16 to spruce up its existing equipment and bring out new products.
