MARKETS

Asian Market is trading higher as Hang Seng was up by 1.12% while Nikkei 225 was up by 1.85% and Chinese markets were up by 0.99%.

Asian stocks rose, with the regional benchmark index heading for its fourth monthly advance, after better-than-estimated U.S. home sales

added to confidence in the global recovery, boosting the earnings outlook for exporters. Overnight U.S.  markets were up by 1.26%. 

SGX Nifty at 8:00AM  was trading at 5850 with a gain of 54 points.

ECONOMY:

  * 11 am: Finance Minister P. Chidambaram presents the annual budget for the 12 mos starting April 1.

  * Mylan Inc., the world’s second-biggest stand-alone generic  drugmaker, agreed to buy India’s Strides Arcolab Ltd.’s injectable

drug unit Agila Specialties for $1.6 billion.
