Vince and Jess got me two Bison Tools for Christmas awhile back. I THINK
they're best for leather hard carving or bone dry carving/trimming. I trim
fairly wet and that's not what I think the tools do best. Plus there are
cautions about dropping them because the blade can easily be damaged. I'm
such a klutz anyway that I'm scared to use them!! J I did some carving
with them on bone dry and they really are remarkable. Maybe if and when I
get into something like that I'll use them. Like when I retire and have
TIME!

Thanks for sharing. I'm with you - nice to look at and I'm sure they're
fantastic, but more $$$ than I care to spend.

Hi everyone,
I noticed that Bison Tools had new listings on Etsy for their custom pottery
tools. These are EXPENSIVE. But if you are serious into fine pottery
tools, apparently these are not only long lasting, but works of art in
themselves. I'm not quite ready to shell out such money, but I thought you
all might be interested in knowing where to find them. Apparently the guy
that makes them is selling them directly on Etsy.com.
