Come out and support some of Pittsburgh hottest gender bending performers for Hot Metal Hardwares Monthly First Friday show at Cattivo (146 44th St, Lawrenceville) . This Friday HMH we will be turning up the heat even higher with some amazing performances and numbers that are sure to make you sweat. 

Doors open at 9pm! Show starts at 11pm. Music spinning all...night....long! Come out and get your Hot Metal FIX! ;)

FREE Fashion and design workshops for youth 13-17

Interested in Costume Making? Queer Culture and Performance Art?
Want to be in a Fashion Show?
Now is your chance...

Sign up to participate in a summer long series of free workshops at the Pittsburgh Gay and Lesbian Community Center with local artist Scott Andrew. 13-17 year olds youth are invited to participate in workshops that span Art History, Sewing, Performance, and Fashion, with a focus in making costumes that express personal identity through myth, fantasy and imagination! The first workshop will be a kick-off to Pittsburgh PRIDE, from 5pm-8pm on June 1st, 2012!

This project is supported in part by a MAKESHOP micro grant from the Pittsburgh Children Museum.

Camp Joy

A week long day camp held at the GLCC for youth 7 to 14 years old from GLBT families or who are GLBT themselves.  The camp takes place July 16 -21st and will be from 10am to 4pm .Camp Joy will include crafts, Olympic games as well as other activities, field trips and snacks and lunch will be provided every day.  The camp will cost $65.00 for the whole week. Some financial assistance available for those in need.
