CIRCLE OF FAITH

We are inviting you to participate in an event called “CIRCLE OF FAITH” that is being organized by interfaith, religious organizations in the greater Pittsburgh area to demonstrate a public witness of welcoming and including LGBTQIA ( Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual) persons, their families and allies by the various faith communities. The event is for all persons who believe that God’s love is inclusive and that all are welcome into the “family circle” that their faith communities offer.

Please encourage your community of faith to participate and pass on this information to the appropriate people.

· Who: Welcoming communities of faith in the greater Pittsburgh area.

· When: Sunday June 9, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

· Where: Highland Park fountain and reservoir at the end of N. Highland Avenue.

· What: A brief welcome and comments including Michael Bartley, Managing    Editor/WQED Multimedia. Then together we will walk around the reservoir carrying banners/signs that simply identify participating welcoming congregations. (Each community of faith will bring its own banner/sign.)

Please inform us of your intent to participate. Also provide the name and contact information of the person who will be the liaison with us from your community.
