"Where have you seen this? I have found this to be almost entirely NOT
the case in my experience. I'm most comfortable in 140mm and they're
a
pain to find on and offline."
I know 140mm is the standard average length at most dispensing
opticians and most online vendors, just take a look at EyeBuyDirect
and Zenni etc..., since most keep a physical inventory of the frames
and a shorter temple would could delay or break a sale$$$, so most
will stock a longer temple length that they can bend if needed. At
most dispensing opticians, right after the Rx, they are encouraged
to select a frame to seal the deal or else the customer will go
somewhere else if an appropriate frame is not found. I recently even
been to a shop around here that has baskets for clients waiting for
their RX appointments to walk around their huge frame store to select
frames they like and place them in the basket prior to their eye
examine.
