This latest consolidation in the optical industry only underscores the
importance of patronizing independent opticians using competitive
suppliers.

FGX, also known as Foster Grant, maker of inexpensive drugstore
reading glasses and sunglasses, also makes products sold under these
brands: Anarchy, Angel, Body Glove, Champion, Corinne McCormack,
Gargoyles, Ironman, Levi Strauss Signature, Magnivision, and Private
Eyes.
