Hi everybody,
i have problems installing gitorious on my local server i hope someone
can help me to solve this problem.
I startet installing gitorious according to these tutorial
http://gitorious.org/gitorious/pages/DebianSqueezeInstallation#Install+packages

After execute the command

"bundle exec rake db:create"

I get an error message :
Couldn't create database for {"username"=>"git", "encoding"=>"utf8",
"password"=>"*****", "database"=>"gitorious_production",
"adapter"=>"mysql", "host"=>"localhost"}, charset: utf8, collation:
utf8_unicode_ci (if you set the charset manually, make sure you have a
matching collation)

Anyone knows what to do ?

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I'm encountering the same problem on an fresh Ubuntu 11.10 server install (I have been using the instructions here: http://coding-journal.com/installing-gitorious-on-ubuntu-11-04/).
