git-daemon hangs every few days

Hi,

I have local install of gitorious v2.2.1 running on Ubuntu 11.10, I have noticed that the git-daemon hangs after every few days. When ever some one tries to access the repository  using git url will get connection time out. I need to restart the service for it to work again. Does any one else face the same problem? Any idea how to trouble shoot and fix this issue?

You should look into using the git-proxy setup instead of the git-daemon. script/git-proxy is used for this, and contains instructions for how to get it running.
