I want to know if there are any rails upgrade on schedule or any ETA. As gitorious is currently using Rails 2.3.5 and lagging behind every single library/utility it's getting really hard to maintain installation and upgrades.
If there aren't plans for a Rails 3.2 release soon, I suggest that at least migrate to rails 2.3.14. I can start doing the work on this matter, if anyone is interested to help.
Also I would like to know if there is anything blocking migration to newer releases (for example a library or something that doesn't work well).
Hi Gabriel, I tried to start migrating it a while ago, but I guess my merge request for replacing the authentication system with Devise wasn't merge yet:

Thank you for your answer. I saw that despiteyour merge request is marked as "merged" It looks like it's not really merged.
I would like to ask again, is there anything preventing a Rails 2.3.14 migration? If I code what's needed to get it working, can I expect that my merge request get accepted?
I'm asking because I don't want to invest time into something that will not be accepted into master by some unknown reason.

just a related FYI: Marius, Christian and myself will soon start processing the merge request backlog and hopefully handle new ones more rapidly : come late July/early August we'll be able to dedicate working hours to the MR backlog.

Thank you. I just want to point that I've created a ticket for the Rails 2.3.14 migration and I would really appreciate your feedback there: https://issues.gitorious.org/issues/107
