Multiple Owners

Hi,

I'd like to be able to add another owner / admin with the same
rights. We both want to be able to add committers.

Any plans for this as a feature?

you can add committers to a project.

My colleague can add committers (as he has added me). I am not an
owner so I can't add them myself. However, my collegue is not always
available and likes me to help out by adding committers as well.

If we could transfer the owner to another account, we could then have
a shared admin account by sharing the password between us so that we
could then all add committers.

Our scenario is this:
- One of our team (who started the project on gitorious) is about to
leave for some time.
- We (as the core team) would like to administer the project as a
group of admins, rather than a single owner.

It may be useful to be able to transfer a project to a new owner e.g.
where the current 'owner' is leaving.

Anyway, far from a big deal. Just wondering if there are plans to
include these sort of features. Similar to sourceforge, launchpad and
the like.

That's a perfectly valid request. The current role implementation (or
lack of) is rather naive, only owners can administer projects and only
owners can add committers. I'd like it to at the very least be able to
assign other people an admin-ish roles.

I'll see if I can put some effort into when I start on some other
things that may need role-schemas soon...
