upgrade path from gitit to gitit2?

Will any special work for users be required to upgrade a gitit wiki to gitit2?

gitit2 will have a different config file format, and it won't
have templates like gitit. (At least on the current plan.)
Some changes may be needed, but unless you've heavily
customized your wiki, they should be minimal.

Assuming gitit2 ever gets finished...

If it doesn't have templates, how will we customize the produced HTML layout?

My thought was that CSS should suffice...

Is gitit2 usable enough to test on the gitit website?

No, because it still lacks some key features, like authentication.
