Hi,
we are considering to use gitblit internally,
as a test run we managed to setup gitblit and created few repos, fork them
but now I would like to know how do I raise a pull request from a forked
repo.

One of the problems with Linux services is that they don't all obey the
same service control script - at least in my experience. Which Linux
flavor are you proposing this for?

Gitblit displays the url based on the incoming connection.

When running behind a proxy you can configure the proxy to use X-Forward
headers for controlling the url.

hi,

There is a GO instance and clients are connected by https through an apache proxy.
If apache connects to http service, the displayed repository URL is http based.
If apache connects https service, the URL is https based.

The problem is that of course it should be https based both cases.

There is a default log4j.properties shipped with the GO tarball.
A few weeks ago I reported, that it not works for me.

This modification fix the default behaviour:

I'm experiencing the same issue, it stops right after
"Total 309017 (delta 158534), reused 308206 (delta 157878)"
As @Rayan mentions the data gets synched but it hangs, so you have to do
ctrl-c, which is very annoying.
I have also tried increasing the buffer on the client side but that did not
help at all.

I wanted to thank all that contributed to getting this working ... in the end, I did install just the GO Jetty instance and it is all working.

Cool ... so assuming GO is a bundled install with Tomcat ?

I downloaded it but have not yet installed it ... doing so today.

Firm believer of keep it simple and if installs and is all happy, then no questions asked, and rainbows and unicorns !

Yes, in fact, I am running it on a Fedora 17 cloud server. I switched
from CentOS because the Java Software was too out of date even with
third party repositories. I didn't want to manually install. I would
rather have Tomcat 7 updated when i do yum update as soon as any
security fixes are released, etc. Fedora 17 is a good choice. 18 does
