Need help debugging a check in issue

I'm not sure if this is the correct venue to ask but I'm not getting any response on StackOverflow. 

I've been using Git Tfs for a few months now and all of a sudden yesterday checkin and checkintool functionality stopped working. It lists out the files that are about to be checked in but then just dumps me back to the prompt without doing anything or giving any real error message.

I figured out what the issue was. The fabrics folder had gone from FABRICS to fabrics in the local source, after I had replaced the contents of the managed folder. This seems like it could be handled more gracefully. I added comments with a stack trace to issue #133 (https://github.com/git-tfs/git-tfs/issues/133)
