Earlier in the school year, we started an email group for parents of
gifted and magnet students at Tully Elementary in Tucson, AZ.  We felt
our students were not being properly served by the public education
system, and decided that if the environment would change, we parents
would have to do something about it.  As the group progressed, we
started a home page with some educational and advocacy resources.  You

Hopefully, this will help some other people who have thought about
starting a group for GATE children at their elementary school.  It has
been a difficult year for our school and the Gifted program at Tully
in particular.  However,  having an email group has helped the GATE
program by involving the parents much more.
