N. Ireland Trip Update and Summer Camp

Hi friends,

Summer is upon us! We are thankful for your partnership as G.Hope dives into a busy summer life in the neighborhood.

This summer's Gateway team (college students interning in the city for 6 weeks) arrived on Monday. They will be living, serving and learning in the neighborhood, and many of them will help lead this year's Germantown Hope Street Camp. This year's focus will be on the book of Proverbs (you can see some sample illustrations for the curriculum here: http://qchronicles.blogspot.com/2009/06/proverbs-illustrations.html) and we are expecting a great time of fun, learning and fellowship with each other and with the Lord. Please pray for us as all volunteers participate in training at Ashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Voorhees, NJ, on July 3-4, and as Camp takes place on July 6-31 on Tacoma St. (this year, we are returning to the street for our summer camp, utilizing Philadelphia's Playstreet program which allows residents to close off side streets during summer so children can play). Most of the N. Ireland team will be serving as Jr. Counselors at the camp as well; pray that it will be a good time of discipleship for them.

I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers and support as we continue to be a witness to the kingdom here in Germantown. Much grace and peace to you as you also head into summer (at least for those of you in the northern hemisphere).
