I am having problems getting R and RStudio installed properly after
moving around some directories. I have some masked
objects .GlobalEnv, and as.Date, along with unused arguments.

I'm looking for a resource who can help me get R and RStudio up and
running and give me a quick tutorial. I have two scripts I want to
run.

I'm interested in a resource who can give me instructions via Skype.
Willing to pay if you are interested.

Thanks.

You shouldn't need to do anything as drastic as pay for installation
help unless you've _really_ FUBAR'd your system.

What's your OS and what did you do before what went wrong went wrong?
If you are getting arguments about masked .GlobalEnv and as.Date, I'd
assume you can get R to work in general.

Try going to the command line and trying

R --vanilla

which should give you a 'clean room' R

Thanks Michael,

Unfortunately, I got the Error: object 'R' not found.  This all started because I moved the location of R folder not knowing the effect.  I did multiple uninstall / install and I think the multiple versions played a role in my problem.

This is my very first time with R so I am stumped and wanted to use RStudio.  I have some books at the library I'll pick up on Friday, but I've invested so much time in research & testing without any success.

I think you're way off course here. Can you describe exactly what you did and what you've tried  to rectify the problem? Please be very explicit. I sense you're confused about how R and RStudio interconnect.

Cheers,
Roman

I got R & RStudio to run this morning.  I still get an object masked but 1 of the 2 scripts "functions" run.  Still working on the other.

I am trying to run the below script "function" in RStudio for a 36 month time series.  I don't seem to get any results.  I have a y value with the 36 month data set, but no luck?  I believe this code works, this is only the beginning of the code.

Any ideas?  I just picked up R for dummies from the library so bear with me.  Thanks.

I think there might be better places to ask non-ggplot questions than the ggplot mailing list. If you can give details ("no results" is not enough) of what you're trying to do and what the results are, you might get a kind answer over at stackoverflow.com
