Dear Karsten,
in view of the huge success GETM has achieved during the last 10 years,
specifically because of your major engagement and investment this is a very bad news.
And you really forgot the 3rd option (which I consider as the most (only) relevant):
3:
if you are not satisfied, work and improve GETM (and the management of GETM).
GETM has developed to an very advanced model, but this does not mean
it is finished and cannot be improved and the same is valid for how the management
of the development is done. This can and has to be always improved.
Seriously working (specifically in science) means that you must all the time learn
to improve in many fields, your success today will just create new challenges tomorrow.
But we all should not forget to enjoy the success already achieved and
that is absolutely based on your devotion to GETM and you can be very proud of it!
And of course all the users community (specifically including me) is
very thankful for your work (far above a normal job) that only made GETM possible.
Best wishes, Adolf
