RE: Teaching Localization -- Course Resources and Text

Dear Gep-Edders,

Some of you may find our compilation of resources (e.g., syllabus, bibliographies, handouts) on localization to be useful in your preparations for the upcoming academic year.  They are available at http://www-personal.umich.edu/~rdeyoung/syllabus.html.

The materials are the product of a seminar, now five years running, that we teach at the University of Michigan.  We've also put out a text for the course entitled The Localization Reader: Adapting to the Coming Downshift (MIT Press 2012), which pulls together key readings in the field.

Yours,
