HI, thanks for interest in the project.

There is some documentation on the site that is relavent.

In particular there is a section on how to connect to a database. The example uses postgis but mysql should be similar.

  http://geoscript.org/tutorials/data-basic/index.html#format-translation

And you should be able to get some good stuff out of the groovy api docs.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Justin.
The links were terribly useful.

I want to roll my simple app into a small grails webservice. Without my going through all the libraries in the geoscript-groovy and saving all the trial and error, can you guide me to the libraries I need for my grails app?

I'm only importing these;

import geoscript.workspace.*
import geoscript.layer.Layer
import geoscript.geom.*

thanks so much

Also, are there any complementary resources/libraries out there you can recommend for groovy-related gis work?
