Hi,

I am trying to convert currency on a payment page which is secure
(https).
If I include http://www.geoplugin.net/javascript.gp?base_currency=AUD
then on some browsers the script is not included as it is seen as
insecure content on a secure page.

https://www.geoplugin.net/javascript.gp?base_currency=AUD doesn't seem
to work.

Is the script available on a https url?

Thanks

Mark

Hi,

Connections over secure sockets (https) isn't currently supported, but
I will have a self-signed certificate installed to allow it. However,
please note this will not be www.geoplugin.net but will have to be
something like secure.geoplugin.net since it will have to resolve to a
different IP as the www subdomain.

I'll inform you via this thread when done.

Thanks

Hi Mark,

SSL is all sorted - substitute http for https in your requests.
Note though, this is a self-signed certificate, so you may see some
javascript warnings.

Hi,

Force people to pay for SSL access, just to recoup the certificate cost and trouble. $10 a year or something. Anyone not willing to pay that doesn't deserve to use your server.
